‘PICNIC IN THE PARK’

THURSDAY, 1st AUGUST – 1 pm to 6 pm

Woodheys Park will be hosting 2 teams of NCS Students (National Citizenship Service). One team will be running a picnic in the park including a bouncy castle near the children’s playground and the other team will be selling cakes at the Pavilion. They are aiming to raise money for The Woodland Trust, a charity which works towards the preservation of tropical rainforests. There will be a handful of stalls and various activities for all ages to partake in. One activity in particular would consist of the use of exercise bikes to cycle 325 kilometres, as 80,000 acres of rainforest is destroyed each day (which is 325 square kilometres).
